I’m a graphic designer and illustrator that bridges the gap between the “old” ways of doing things with rubylith, white out and exacto blades & the “new” way of doing things with computers and software programs.
My first job out of art school (Art Institute of Seattle) was working for Aldus on the very first 4-color separation software called PrePrint. I used the software of the day (FreeHand, PageMaker & Illustrator) to try and break the program, then worked with a group of programmers & engineers to repair the glitches. In 1994, Aldus got bought out by Adobe, which is a cornerstone of the graphic design industry today with their “Creative Suite” Programs (Illustrator, InDesign & PhotoShop). I’ve been using those programs since 1990, and continue to use them in my illustration & graphic design work today.
My background in traditional illustration and print design, along with my technical abilities, has given me a rock solid standing in the digital design world.
I get to work with an amazing variety of clients – primarily in the arts, consumer products, health care, finance, law & personal development.
My expertise includes traditional & digital illustration techniques, print media design, print coordination, offset press checks, logo design, visual branding and WordPress website design.
